Indian Education System : A Success or Failure

Education has a crucial role in the development of a person and subsequently, the entire nation. Though the history of the Indian education system has some positive examples to exhibit, it has been receiving some flak from the world nowadays and the fact can't be denied that we are falling behind in the field of education for quite some decades now. A major shift in the education system can be observed since the pre and post-British rule till today in India. Initially, children were educated in Gurukuls which was later modified and the modern education system was introduced. After India became independent, the constitution committed six fundamental rights, of which one was the Right of Education.
